Rental Policies & Frequently Asked Questions

What are the rental requirements?
  All drivers must present a valid driver's license and credit card in their own name. Driver's must have a safe driving record and may be subject to a Department of Motor Vehicle check. Full coverage insurance is required on all our vehicles and must be verified prior to rental.
How are rentals priced?
  One 24 hour period constitutes a rental day. We offer a 30-minute grace period for returns, before late charges apply.
How old do I have to be to rent a vehicle?
  You need to be at least 21 years of age in order to rent a vehicle from us. 25 on certain models.
What do I need to bring with me?
  At the time of rental, you need to have with you a valid driver's license, credit card, and current proof of full auto insurance.
How do I make a reservation?
  To make a reservation, we need to get some general information from you, such as name, address and phone numbers. We will also need to run a credit card authorization and verify insurance coverage for your rental. You can supply us with all the necessary information online, or over the phone at 312-204-7227
Can the vehicles be used for Production Use?
  Additional photos are available of all our vehicles, for production consideration. Please contact our office at 312-204-7227 and we will be happy to email you your request.
Can you offer Private Drivers?
  For those of you that would like to sit back and enjoy the sights, we we arrange a private driver at an additional cost. Please contact us for more information.
What if I need to cancel my reservation?

A reservation must be cancelled at least 7 days prior to the original pick-up date in order not be charged 100% of the rental charges. If you book or cancel within the 7-day period, the reservation is non-refundable, but you may apply the paid rental fee and re-schedule your rental for a future date.

Do I need a credit card to rent a vehicle?
  Yes, you must present a valid credit card in the renter's name at the time of the rental. A credit card authorization approval will be requested prior to the rental to be used as a deposit. This is only an authorization, and not a charge. The authorization amounts range depending on the type of vehicle. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover cards.
Are additional drivers permitted?
  Yes, additional drivers are allowed, as long as they meet the same requirements as the primary renter. There is no charge for additional drivers.
Do you offer airport shuttle service?
  Yes, we can arrange for transportation from Chicago Midway or Chicago O'Hare International Airport.
Can you deliver the vehicle to me?
  Yes, we can deliver the vehicle anywhere in the Chicagoland area for your convenience. Contact us for more information and rates.
Are the cars allowed out of state?
  We do allow our vehicles to be driven anywhere in the United States, however certain restrictions apply, please notify us if you plan on driving the vehicle outside Illinois. Customers must have written authorization from Chicago Exotic and Luxury Car Rentals.
Is smoking permitted in the vehicles?
  No, for the pleasure of all future renters, we do not allow smoking in our vehicles. A cleaning charge will apply if this policy is violated.
Is off-roading permitted?
  No, no matter which vehicle is rented, all renters must agree that they will not use the vehicle for off-roading, drive it on a racetrack or be involved in any illegal exhibitions of speed.
What is the fuel policy?
  All vehicles need to be returned with the same amount of fuel as when they were picked up. Otherwise, a fuel charge of $5.99 per gallon will be applied.
What should I do if I get into an accident?
  First, seek medical attention if needed. Secondly, for insurance purposes and your own protection, you must file a police report. Then, contact us promptly so that we can advise you what step to take next.
What should I do if my vehicle breaks down?
  It is unlikely since most of our vehicles are late models and stringently maintained. However, if a breakdown does occur, immediately call the phone number on your rental contract, and we will take care of it. Do not do any repairs to the vehicle without authorization from us.
Deposit Requirements
  Cash deposits are not accepted.
